What do I do if the tank develops a leak or other issues?

If the tank is ever punctured, you can plastic weld it. There are videos on YouTube, it is a simple and effective technique. If there is a leak from the cap, double check the gasket is situated correctly, and the cap is not cross threaded. If that does not work, check to see if the gasket needs to be replaced.

What is the best way to clean and maintain the tank?

To keep your Trail’d ‘Spare’ Water Tank functioning at its best, be sure to follow these safety and maintenance guidelines: Vent the tank at least once a day if there are significant temperature or elevation changes. Rinse the tank thoroughly before use and allow it to dry completely to remove any debris. Check the seal and gasket regularly to ensure that your tank does not leak or become loose due to vibration.

Can I return or exchange the tank if it doesn’t fit or work for my vehicle?

Yes, you can return or exchange the Trail’d tank if it doesn’t fit or work for your vehicle. Can I purchase additional accessories, like hoses or filters, with the tank?

We are not currently selling additional accessories to plumb the tanks, however you can check out several builds on our Instagram page in the DIY Highlights and on our media page. Customers have provided a complete list of accessories and instructions.
