To keep your Trail’d ‘Spare’ Water Tank functioning at its best, be sure to follow these safety and maintenance guidelines.

Before using your tank, make sure to rinse it thoroughly and allow it to dry fully to remove any debris.
To ensure that your tank does not leak or become loose due to vibration, be sure to check the seal and gasket regularly to make sure they are correctly installed.
Remember to vent the tank once per day if the elevation or temperature changes significantly to prevent any issues.
The weight of a stock tire hoist may not be sufficient to safely support the additional weight of our tanks. Please consult your vehicle's manual or a professional installer to ensure compatibility and safe installation.
These tanks are not certified by the EPA for fuel storage and using them for this purpose will void all warranty and return claims.
Using any liquid other than water in the tank may make it unsafe for storing drinking water. Avoid cross-contamination by using the same liquid throughout the tank's lifespan.
